The Australia Day Illawarra Aquathon is Australia's largest Aquathon with an expected 1500+ participants expected to splash n dash at the picturesque Wollongong harbour. Billed as a fun community fitness event involving swimming and running, 2010 marks the 12th edition of the Aquathon, which is held annually as part of the hugely popular Australia Day festivities at Wollongong Harbour.
Participants have a choice of three events covering all ages and standards - Kidz Aquafun, Short Aqua and Long Aqua. That draws hundreds of families right through to elite athletes and very first timers all in the mix.
Renowned for it's spectacular & safe location, value entry, fantastic prizes and give aways, buzzing friendly atmosphere, and exceptional volunteers - it's no wonder the Aquathon continues to grow in popularity each year.
